This amazing 'Waiting Train' movement is using an EC4 to release the train every 30 secs to step the dials on. A mini UPS protects against the occasional power outage.
The standard EC4 be replaced with the latest impulse masterclock with built in Daylight Saving Time changes in the near future
The two sided clock in this beautiful building has two Gents slave clock mechanisms behind the dials. The solution is a manual DST adjust Masterclock based on an upgraded EC4 with a substantial UPS to cover periods of power outage.
Cunard Line - White Star Line, RMS Caronia and RMS Queen Mary clock
A piece of history.
This small clock has an alternating polarity mechanism made by Thomas Mercer (pic on their website) in around 1930-1940s. The case is I think nickel alloy. The mechanism is nice and quiet. 600 of these were fitted on the RMS Queen Mary.
This is run with a stripped down EC5AP and runs using a 12v mains PSU.
